I got my first bike a long time ago, a Kawasaki KE 175, prior to that I had been riding friends bikes and even got my license on a borrowed bike. I put about 15k miles on that bike in just over a year but decided it was not big enough to keep traveling into Europe, especially when loaded with camping gear. So the next bike was a Honda 750 and they have all been Hondas since then. The groups I used to ride with liked a good mix of rides and were a great group of people that I would travel anywhere with.
When I moved to the US I stopped riding, I was just to busy with work to justify having the bike sit there and gather dust. I would however still ride borrowed bikes (both of my brothers ride) when I went back to the UK and hook up with some of my old riding buddies. In 2002 I went back to the UK and after riding with some friends for a long weekend I decided it was time to get a bike here in the US.
After I got it I did some riding but it was not the same I did not find a group I felt comfortable with either just out and about or on the road until I was introduced to the 456. I was immediately made welcome even though my bike is “not exactly a cruiser” and I have enjoyed every ride and event with the group since.
So if you like to ride, want to do it safely and enjoy great company checkout the ride calendar and come along.
