When did you first think about getting a motorcycle???   Late bloomer, I was 24.

What attracted you to your bike?  The first one, or the current one? The first one was dependability, a 500cc Yamaha.  The current one, displacement - 5700cc.

Fastest you've ridden??  130ish.

How long does it take you to polish her??  It’s a he, and about two hours.

Helmet or no helmet? Always a lid.

Any roadrash stories to tell??  Only been down once when I was moving.  Don’t make me tell the two drunks in the woods story again.  No damage to me. Had all my gear on at the time.

If you could change something about your bike, what would it be?  Hard saddlebags painted to match.

What is the next accessory you will be adding?  I’m done.  Nothing at this time.

Favorite Road Song?   Highway Star – Deep Purple.

What are 3 lessons you've learned about riding safely in the past few
months?  A turn signal on doesn’t mean a vehicle is actually turning.  Always look both ways at a stop sign, twice.  Always keep both feet on the pegs when traveling in excess of 100 mph.

What was the worst weather you've ridden?  Colorado mountains at elevation, at night, in the rain.

Favorite time of the year to ride?  October and March.

Favorite route to ride?  Pretty much any route for the first time.  So FL is getting a little stale so roads trips are something I look forward to with great zeal and enthusiasm.

Ever hit any critters, alive or dead?  Nope.  But I’ve locked up my brakes for a rabbit and a deer in the recent past.  I sold my last bike to a guy who had demolished his previous ride hitting a deer near his home in NJ.

Do you have a ride bell on your bike?  Nope.

Why do you ride?  It’s different.  I enjoy the camaraderie with other riders.  I enjoy wrenching, fixing, changing stuff.  It gives me an identity quite different from my day job and provides a social and emotional outlet.

What is your "Dream Machine?"  There is a guy over in Marco Island that builds high HP custom V8’s.  If I could afford 80 -100K, I’d have one.

If you had only 5 bucks left in your wallet, what would you do with it?  Buy a half gallon of ice cream and a plastic spoon.

Why did you join the West Palm Beach chapter?  The Delray Chapter closed.   Seriously,  I joined Delray because my wife at the time and I were looking for opportunities to ride our motorcycles.  Safe group riding seemed like the way to go and the original crowd was a great group to learn u-turns from.
